The starting point

The problem with renting clicks

When Ziva engaged CRESCO, the lead engine had a ceiling. Paid acquisition was working, but on a treadmill — every dollar of growth required a dollar of new spend, and organic inbound was effectively zero.

Meanwhile, AI Overviews and Perplexity were already changing how buyers in the cleaning-services market discovered providers. The brands getting cited were the ones publishing structured, authoritative content. Ziva wasn't in that set.

Renting clicks

Lead flow depended on paid acquisition. The day spend stopped, the pipeline stopped — a fragile ceiling on growth, with effectively zero inbound from organic.

No topical authority

The site ranked for the brand name and a handful of long-tails. There was no defensible position on the cluster of commercial-cleaning queries Ziva should own.

AI search disruption

AI Overviews were already pulling answers for "cleaning service" queries from competitors. Ziva was nowhere in the citation set.

What we did

Four interventions, one operating system

01

Local SEO infrastructure

Service-area architecture, GBP optimization, location-based service pages, citation hygiene. The foundation for ranking in the local pack and the AI-pulled answer set.

02

Topical authority build-out

A clustered content roadmap mapped to the buyer journey: definitional posts (TOFU), comparison and how-to (MOFU), service-area and pricing pages (BOFU). Each piece reinforces the rest through internal linking.

03

AEO-ready content structure

Self-contained opening paragraphs that answer the query directly. FAQ schema on every post. Extractable data points throughout. Built for AI engines to cite from day one.

04

Service page architecture

Information architecture, CTA placement, conversion-rate optimization. We turned the qualified clicks into qualified pipeline — not just traffic for its own sake.

The outcome

Predictable, compounding growth

Pipeline

3–4 / mo

Qualified B2B leads

From effectively zero inbound to a steady 3–4 qualified commercial leads every month. The service-page and CRO work converted the qualified clicks instead of leaking them.

Traffic

+2,270%

Organic clicks, year over year

Monthly organic clicks went from 46 to 1,090 (≈24×) between May 2025 and May 2026. The topical authority architecture compounded — each new pillar and cluster lifted the surrounding content.

Visibility

20+

Page-1 commercial keywords

From zero a year ago to 20+ commercial terms on page one — post-construction, hood, medical, industrial, church, and school cleaning — moving the site from page 3 (avg position ~32) to page 1.

Trajectory

Months 2–3

First ranking movement

Ziva started with no traffic or authority, so it took time to build. Early movement showed around months 2 to 3, then compounded month over month. Timelines depend on where a site starts: its existing authority and crawl history.

Who came through

The kind of commercial buyers organic now brings in

A sample of the inbound leads the content engine has generated — the high-value, recurring commercial accounts Ziva couldn't reliably reach before.

A country club — daily restaurant, restrooms & event space
A 20,000 sq-ft manufacturing plant
A national facilities-management company
Medical & medspa offices — recurring, medical-grade
Churches on recurring twice-a-month schedules
A restoration company — B2B subcontract cleaning
